Established in 1953, the Allentown Dog Training Club (ADTC) is a Licensed AKC Obedience and Rally Dog Training Club and is a Member of the Pennsylvania Federation of Dog Clubs.

Members enjoy the instruction and camaraderie offered by our club, including priority access the training. Members also represent the club at public demonstrations and therapy dog visits, and are involved in diverse activities including obedience, rally, agility, herding, tracking, field trials, scent work, and conformation. In addition to year-round classes and membership meetings, annual member events include: AKC Sanctioned Trials, Club Shows and Matches, and Club Awards Banquets, Picnics, and Holiday Parties.
ADTC conducts dog training classes throughout the year in all levels of Obedience and Rally, as well as other venues such as scent work and tricks classes. We also offer Puppy Kindergarten classes. All dogs, including Purebred and mixed breed (All American) dogs, are welcome at classes.
Classes are held at Macungie Park at 50 North Poplar Street, Macungie, PA 18062. Training is indoors from mid-September through Mid-April, and outdoors during the summer months. Members benefit from priority class registration at a discounted member rate.
Current Class Session: November 12/13, 2025 – January 14/15, 2026 – 6-week session – no classes weeks of Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year’s; classes cancelled December 10/11, 2025

Shows & Events:
ADTC annual shows and events include a Spring AKC Sanctioned Obedience and Rally Trial, and a Fall Obedience and Rally Show and Go Fun Match.
