ALLENTOWN DOG TRAINING CLUB

The Allentown Dog Training Club (ADTC) is a Licensed AKC Obedience and Rally Dog Training Club and is a Member of the Pennsylvania Federation of Dog Clubs.  Established in 1953, ADTC is a Non-Profit 501(c)(7) Club, ADTC conducts classes throughout the year in all levels of Obedience and Rally, as well as other venues such as scent work.  Classes are held at Macungie Park at 50 North Poplar Street, Macungie, PA 18062.  Training is indoors from mid-September to mid-April and outdoors during the summer months.  We offer “Members Only” training as well as classes that are open to the public.  Our instructors are Club members with years of experience in training dogs to be better citizens and to compete in various venues.  Many Lehigh Valley residents have enjoyed the classes, instruction and camaraderie offered by our Club.  We offer classes in Puppy Kindergarten, Obedience, and Rally for the general public to promote better family companions.  Purebred and mixed breed dogs are all welcome at ADTC classes, trials and matches!

Our members participate in public demonstrations at schools, nursing homes, etc., and are involved in activities such as Obedience, Rally, Agility, Herding, Tracking, Field Trials, Scent Work, Therapy Dog visits and Conformation.

In addition to our year-round schedule of classes and monthly Membership meetings, our annual events include:

• An AKC Sanctioned Obedience and Rally Trial in May
• An Obedience and Rally Show n Go Fun Match in September
• An Awards Banquet in April to recognize the achievements of Members and their dogs
• A Club Picnic in Macungie Park with Practice Rings for Obedience and Rally
• A Club Holiday Party
