Welcome to the ADTC NOVEMBER issue of Barks & Bytes

Welcome to the NOVEMBER 2025 newsletter. Welcome to the November 2025 issue of BARKS & BYTES. This will be a very busy time for our dogs and our club. Our shows and matches will be over by the time you get this. There was just so much to do between getting ready for our Fall Trials and Matches and everything in between. We do apologize for the newsletter being late. And then there are the holidays which are fast approaching. There is usually no training during the week of Thanksgiving, and it does not look as though we will have training between Christmas and New Years as both Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve are on Wednesday. And then Christmas Day and New Year’s Day on Thursday. However, for now training will continue on and the dogs will love it and spend time with YOUR DOG!!

At the suggestion of President Gail James, we decided to write some articles on things like what is a match show, what do stewards do, what class should I enter, A or B, what should I enter and more questions than I can think of right now. But I am sure that many of you have questions you would love to have answered so please do not hesitate to let us know. Quite a few years ago when Debbie Achenzie and I started the newsletter we had several new members who were new to competitive dog training and not just pet training. So, I wrote quite few articles on what I thought most newer members might want to learn about AKC Competitive Obedience and Rally. So, we will start informative articles again on things you may want to learn about. We have great trainers, and they all hope that sooner or later members will take the plunge and enter a trial. And in fact, some of our new members did show their dogs this past weekend. Please get in touch with us with any questions you might like to see in the newsletter. Just send to me or Stacey and let us know what questions you would like to see answered. Of course, your instructors can also help with any questions you may have.

– all the best, Jacqui
